Question 6 – In the barometer, we want to understand how COVID-19 is impacting different types of organisations. Therefore, we will ask you to identify your organisation as either a Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) organisation, a Deaf and Disabled people’s organisation, an LGBTIQ+ organisation or a Women’s organisation in terms of governance and the communities that you serve.
We appreciate that these definitions aren’t perfect and there are no agreed definitions within the VCSE sector for how to categorise organisations. We also appreciate that any single approach will not be able to capture the complexity of organisations and may miss organisations that are aspiring to serve a particular community.
To help shape our approach, we contacted a number of key stakeholders who are led by and seek to serve a particular community for advice on the best approach to take.
